Family and Peer Mentoring

Family and Peer Mentoring Supports will be offered to assist individuals/participants or their unpaid family members in providing and navigating support or services. It is offered by experienced mentors, peers, or other family members and provided to a peer, parent, or other family caregivers. This service will facilitate matches that allow for optimal services, supports, and expectations. The mentor will explain what, and how to obtain services/programs or supports, and techniques that can be used to achieve the individual’s goals. Mentors will also help the family and support structure of the individual/participant to build resilience by providing guidance, information, and links to resources. Services provided include, but are not limited to:

• Advocacy
• Networking
• Mentorship
• Resource Acquisition
