Career Exploration

Destiny’s Group Home, Inc. will provide systemic instruction and supports to individuals to improve their ability to work in competitive and integrated job environments. These services are provided in the community in a small group which may consist of two (2) to eight (8) people total (including the participant/individual). Participant groups will complete work tasks on a contract basis. While in services, participants will learn work-related skills such as time management, effective communication, socially acceptable behavior, and problem-solving strategies. Participants will have an employment goal within their Person-Centered Plan. Said goals must outline how they will transition to community integrated employment. Services provided include, but are not limited to:

• Job Skills Training
• Social Modelling and Support
• Problem Solving Strategy Development
• Development of a Transition Goal and Plan to Community Integrated Employment
